Overview

Meet on the Reynolds Memorial Playing Field opposite the Walnut Tree pub and near the Village Hall. Please park considerately on nearby roads – not in the pub or Village Hall car parks.

Our route begins by heading downhill to Bonnington and St Rumwolds Church by the Royal Military Canal.  We’ll then walk along the Canal Path to Falconhurst before making our way back up through the woods – where there should be lots of bluebells – to Aldington Knoll then via the Saxon Shore Way and Ruffins Hill to St Martins Church before returning to the village.

Bring a snack and a drink if you wish.  There are further refreshment opportunities on our return to Aldington.

Well-behaved dogs on leads are welcome but there will be some stiles which may not be dog-friendly and there is likely to be livestock along the route.

Estimated return time is around 13.30.
