Overview

Meet at Crabbe Road, Crabble, Dover at the entrance to Dover Rugby and Football ground. Free parking is available on local roads.

This is a circular walk via Gorse Hill, Whinless Down, Long Wood and Dover Banger Raceway Track where we will take a break. After the break we will continue to the ruins of  St Radegund’s Abbey, before passing through Gorsehill Wood and across the Alkham Valley Road and following a footpath to Kearsney Abbey Gardens. The group will follow the River Dour past Crabbe Corn Mill and those who wish can stop at The Rec Coffee shop for refreshments which is five minutes’ walk from the start point. Please note there is a steep climb up to Whinless Down from Buckland.
