Overview

This is walk 5 from our book “Ten Walks around Devizes”

From the Market Place we pass through St John’ s Churchyard and Hillworth Park, to reach Drews Pond and Montecello Farm.  After skirting Potterne Woods we pass through Sleight Valley.  The return journey takes us past Sleight Valley driving range where we will have a pause for refreshments at their café.  The homeward leg passes through the old hospital grounds before returning to the Market Place.

Expect stiles and some mud. Chalk can be very slippery when wet.  Sticks may be useful and there may be livestock enroute.

Please bring a snack and a drink.  We will be back for lunch.
