The C walk starts near Corfield farm on the B4368 (between Shipton and Weston). From the road the route immediately takes a path past that passes by some man-made ponds before heading SSE to Stanton Long Church. From here the route passes through further fields before reaching Pool Farm. We then head westwards over Holdgate Moor before briefly joining the Shropshire way. After passing through Broadstone and crossing over the River Corve and the B4368 the route joins the Jack Mytton way. This is followed uphill for approx 3/4 of a mile before another path is followed which initially skirts Big Wood wood and then drops to the country lane that leads down to Beambridge. Just before Beambridge we enter Millichope park. It is intended that the route will include a walk through Millichope park and gardens. Entry to the gardens is limited to a few days each year and is based upon a voluntary donation with all proceeds going (on this occasion) to Countryside Learning. The park and gardens are well worth a visit (please refer to web site …www.Millichope park.com) But please ensure you have an amount of cash/change that you are happy to donate. After visiting the park and gardens the route heads south west and follows a path that roughly runs parallel to the B4368. We pass through the hamlet of Munslow before reaching the end of the route at the Swan Inn (an old coaching inn) situated in Aston Munslow. Linear walk. Picnic lunch. Approx 7.5 miles (possibly slightly longer if group members wish to extend the walk around Millichope park and gardens). Total ascent:- approx 230 meters. If time allows beverages at the Swan inn at the end of the walk.
