From the middle CP around the Tarn, through Britty Wood and around Crooksbury Common. Wide sandy tracks with the odd spot of mud (after rain). Fine woodland and spring flowers (hopefully). Good conditions underfoot. Some views. A few gradual ascents.

Puttenham Middle Car Park. From A31, through Puttenham village. Pass the church on the left, turn left into Suffield Lane, opposite the Good Intent pub. Car park about 2 miles on the right; beyond the Puttenham Top car park.
