We are the Tavistock Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

We will start from Bedford Bridge and walk through the woods and up to the West Devon way. Then we follow the West Devon way to Double Waters for a coffee break, to return along the Dartmoor Way. After the Gem Bridge we take a steep descent to the river to return to the start.
If it keeps raining the path may be wet and muddy in places and as there are many stony and rooted parts that can be slippery boots are absolutely necessary.
I have rated the walk as moderate, but note that there is a quite steep climb at the beginning and later as we leave Doublewaters in this undulating walk.
