From the car park we walk to Beeley and ascend through Beeley plantation onto the moors. Then along to Stand Wood and the hunting tower and descend through the Chatsworth estate back to Calton Lees. Risk assessment: Mainly good paths but ascending through woodland. Crossing the busy Chatsworth road with care.
