We are the Hampshire 40+ Walking Group. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A pleasant Saturday circular stroll through the rolling Hampshire countryside between the two pretty villages of Bishops Waltham & Droxford.
This walk is ideal for new members or anyone who would like to try walking with the group for the first time. Bishops Waltham is also served by a regular bus service from Winchester or Fareham so is also ideal for those who rely on public transport.
Toilets are available in the car park.
Please bring refreshments for a lunch stop.
Well behaved dogs welcome with well behaved owners!
Some paths may be muddy.
There is the option of drinks at the end of the walk at the Crown Inn.
The walk will commence from the Basingwell Street car park in Bishops Waltham. NOTE there is a 3 hour parking limit at Basingwell Street so PLEASE DO NOT PARK HERE. If coming by car please park at the nearby Jubilee Hall which should have plenty of spaces available & costs £1.20 for all day parking. Jubilee Hall is well signposted around the village centre. Leave the car park on foot, turn left and walk down the hill to the Basingwell Street car park for the walk start point. Please aim to arrive around 20 mins ahead of the walk to ensure you have time to park.
