Overview

The circular walk this Sunday is 11 miles starting at Bishopstone church and walking along the southern edge of the Downs to Alfriston for lunch. In the afternoon we climb up from Alfriston to the South Downs Way and walk to Bo Peep where we turn left and head back towards Norton and Bishopstone.

The walk should take just over 5 hours so we should be back in Bishopstone around 3.30pm.

When arriving at Bishopstone church, do not park in the field next to the church. This is for Sunday worshippers and will be locked on our return. Park along the side of the road either before you get to Bishopstone church or turn right immediately after the church and park along the track.

It might be slippery in places so bring hiking poles. Bring a packed lunch and thermos.

Public toilets are available at Alfriston.
