If you are a Ramblers member, please bring your membership card. You MUST text or ring the leader to BOOK a place. You should not join the walk unless you have received a verbal CONFIRMATION or a TEXT.
Starting from the Little Black Hill picnic area we descend into the Olchon Valley and after crossing Olchon Brook we ascend the steep opposite valley side to reach the Offa's Dyke trail on the ridge. We make our way north along the trail to reach the trig point at Hay Bluff. After re-tracing our steps a little we head towards Black Hill and the delightful Crib Y Garth ridge (the "Cat's Back"). We walk the full length of this gradually narrowing ridge, descending to our car park at its foot. Depending on conditions we may do this walk in the reverse direction.
This walk is weather dependent so be sure to stay in touch with leader Rod.
