Overview

From Grindleford station we walk up through the very picturesque Padley Gorge to Toads Mouth, then across Hathersage Moor to Higger Tor. We continue to Upper Burbage Bridge, then along past the Cowperstone and onto Stanage Edge. We descend to a path alongside a road leading into woods and then into Hathersage. We return to Grindleford along the Derwent valley.

Anyone using public transport can leave the walk at Hathersage, making it an 8 mile walk before catching the train back towards Manchester (or indeed Sheffield!)
