Overview

A varied walk at the easier end of "moderate", taking in Tinkers Clough, the canal towpath, Kerridge ridge and White Nancy. Great views if the weather is good.

The paths are mostly good (and were reasonably dry when recce'd in late March), only one or two stiles but we do have several short, steep climbs and a couple of steep, stepped descents. We'll take these at a leisurely pace and pause to admire the view at the top.

Route: Middlewood Way, Tinkers Clough, Canal Towpath,  Rally Road, Swanscoe Farm, Kerridge Road, Kerridge Ridge to White Nancy, Dawson Farm, Canal Towpath to Clarence Mill, across Recreation Ground to car park.

Bring a snack & drink for the coffee stop; poles might be useful as some paths could be muddy if the weather stays wet.
