Overview

We soon leave Epping and are in quite a rural area passing through woods and rolling fields en route to the lunch stop at Toot Hill. In the afternoon we visit the timber church at Greensted before ending in the small town of Ongar. Please bring a picnic lunch but there will be time for drinks and toilets at the Green Man at Toot Hill. Pubs and cafes are available in Ongar.

The route may be muddy if there has been a lot of rain, but there are no significant gradients.
