We are the Leeds Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.

From the car park we make our way along the farm tracks towards Harewell Hall, from here we head down to the river cross over the bridge and head up to the village of Smelthouses. We then follow the Nidderdale footpath through the woods before turning off and heading up to Highwood farm and then onto Brimham Rocks where we will stop for a lunch break. After the break we head over Brimham Moor then a short road walk takes us to Highfield farm, we then cross several fields before dropping down into Summerbridge and then back into Dacre Bank. Refreshments after the walk will be at the Royal Oak P.H.
The terrain is quite varied including, woodland, moorland and farmland with some spells of road walking inbetween,and a small climb to reach the main pathway as we reach Brimham Rocks. Please be aware that we may encounter cattle in some of the fields that we have to pass through, and weather dependant some areas may be muddy in places particularly over the moorland.
