Overview

A chance to use new sections of the Egret's Way mainly along the River Ouse between Lewes and the coast at Newhaven. 
Ten miles for the full walk, Five for the shorter walk to Southease Station.

A long but easy walk on mainly good, flat paths. 
A short steep and sometimes muddy section of about half a mile can be avoided by ending the walk halfway at Southease station. 
Picnic stop at Rodmell Church. Several pubs at full walk end by Newhaven Harbour breakwater . 

Please bring water and a snack. 

If travelling by train you will need a return back from Newhaven if doing the full walk. Good bus connections at both start and finish.
