Overview

BOOKING REQUESTED

From the car park via the remains of Castleshaw Roman fort, then around Castleshaw Upper Reservoir, Low Gate Lane and Ox Hey Lane to the outskirts of Denshaw.  Then along lanes and Summer Hill Clough to cross Delph Road and continue down to the Tame Valley Way.  Follow the river along to Delph village and through to Lark Hill Lane and along Harrop Edge |Lane.  Cross Huddersfield Road to return to the car park. Risk assessment: Care needed at this time of year as parts of the walk are muddy, wet and slippery.  Several stiles.  Sheep in fields.  Crossing the A6052 and the A62 twice.
