Overview

Starting from Little Town, we will skirt around the west side of Cat Bells before starting our ascent to reach the ridge at Skelgill Bank. Then we will carry on up the rocky path to the summit for glorious views all around (hopefully!). From here, we carry on right along the broad ridge to Maiden Moor and High Spy and eventually descend alongside Newlands Beck. The paths are good throughout but the ascent to Cat Bells and descent to the valley alongside the waterfalls, will need care if the rock is wet.
