Starting at Glenridding we climb VERY steadily uphill on a decent but rocky path. We’ll stop often to take in the views as we head up to Red Tarn. The final climb to the top is again rocky, but has a well used path. Fingers crossed, the views from the top will be stunning.
We head downhill via Red Tarn Beck. This is a fairly smooth track with a few steps but it is steep in places so poles would come in handy if you have them. We’ll finish back in Glenridding for a well earned cuppa!
Parking at Glenridding is pay & display, however, free parking has been secured for 2 vehicles (up to 5 in each car) departing from Penrith Rugby Club. Anyone travelling independently will sadly have to pay for parking.
