A Circuit of Kirkstone Area ( ₳ grade walk)

A strenous hike round the hills either side of Kirkstone Pass. Starting round Brothers Water we then head up Dovedale. The main path is soon abondoned to cover steep rough ground to reach Stangs and  then ascend Stand Crags. Eventually Dove Crag is reached for a much needed coffee break. Scandale Head and pass is quickly passed before Red Screes and the decent to Kirkstpone Pass Inn (still closed!) for lunch. An exhausting walk follows over St Raven's Edge to Caudale Moor and Stony Cove Pike before the steep decent and ascent to Thornthwaite Beacon. A weary walk gets us back down over Grey Crag to Cow Bridge
