Overview

Starting at Gorebridge train station car park, the walk follows the Gore Water to Borthwick castle and Crichton castle & kirk and then into Vogrie Country Park. The return walk takes us through Newlandrig and uphill to Camp Wood before returning to Gorebridge.

Terrain: Mainly rough tracks and paths. Fields with livestock (dairy cows, sheep) between Gorebridge and Borthwick castle require careful crossing. Appropriate clothing and footwear is essential.
