This is a linear walk from Clitheroe to Barley along paths, moorland and bog.  There is potential of mud, depending on the weather conditions and some of the paths are slightly overgrown and with nettles.

There is very little ascent for the first three miles where we walk along the base of Pendle Hill on Worston Moor. Thereafter the walk will involve a consistently steep climb, where we gain most of the walk's ascent, until we reach the Pendle Hill plateau.

Once on the plateau, we will enjoy views of the north or Clitheroe side and later, when reaching the far end of the plateau and the Pendle Hill summit, the lush Ogden and Barley valley aspect.  We will descend Pendle Hill via a stone path, which is steep in parts, and will follow the well laid path to Barley hamlet, where the walk ends.
