Overview

West Mendip Walkers moderate 9 mile walk from Congresbury.  A delightful and varied walk starting with a climb to the Iron Age fortifications of Cadbury Camp with good views across to the Mendips. The fort dates back 3,000 years and is one of five Cadbury Camps in SW England. From here we descend into King’s Wood and make our way to the pretty Combes of Cleeve and Goblin Combe. We then take a sunken track to Wrington Hill again enjoying fine views.  Next stop for lunch in the historic village of Wrington. From here we follow the Two Rivers Way alongside the River Yeo back to Congresbury.
