This enjoyable trail round part of Dallowgill includes 22 mosaics depicting local scenes, flora and flora. The pace will therefore be fairly leisurely to allow us to look at each one.
The walk starts at the car park at Tom Corner and we follow it clockwise, eastwards through Carlesmoor to pick up the Ripon Rowel down to Belford before heading west then north west back to the start.
Terrain is varied including gravel tracks, fields and some walking on minor roads. Walking boots are advised as some parts of the trail can be wet, muddy and rough underfoot, there is also a small ford to cross at mosaic number 3. There are a few short uphill sections, but it is generally fairly flat.
We may be fortunate and see the spectacular view of the moor with the heather in bloom.
