Overview

This iconic walk takes in both Roseberry Topping and Captain Cook's Monument going along some well known paths and maybe some not so well known. Starting in Great Ayton we take field and woodland paths until we starting climbing to the top of Roseberry dropping down and then up to the Cleveland Way. From there we make our way to Captain Cook's Monument and beyond to then drop down through Mill Bank Wood and return to Great Ayton. The walk is quite challenging because of the climbs and while not one to call strenuous it is nevertheless at the higher end of moderate and a fitness test. There are no stiles.
