We will start from Reeth village parking area to take the north west path to Healaugh which has a number of wicket gates enroute. Passing through Healaugh there is a small amount of road walking to reach Barney Beck Bridge and continuing through a number of fields to reach the B6270, again a small amount of road walking to cross the road at Wood end to join the river path to Isles bridge. Just before the bridge I can only describe as walking on top of a wall (large flag stones have been laid). At the bridge we can have lunch at the river side if we can last that long. Our return is over the bridge to join Low Lane track where we may encounter farm traffic but no mud here. Walking on, passing Stubbin Farm, they must have kennels here as you may hear the dogs howling as we pass. At the swing bridge we cross over the Swale back into Reeth.
Parking in the square or on the green Honesty box
Toilets are past the bus shelter - small charge for using them
All paths and tracks are good one stone stile at the other side has a long drop
At wood end the path from the road to the river path short but steepish
Refreshments at Brenda's cafe (the bike shop) and toilets. They are installing accom pods, so the over flow parking has gone so parking might be at a premium.
