We are the Livingston Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
Starting from Haymarket Station we will walk to the canal basin and follow the canal path. Lots of activity to watch along this path. We will come off the canal path toward Locharton Crescent and head for the pond next to the sports centre. We will follow the path to Wester Craiglockart Hill, good views of Edinburgh including Arthur's Seat. We will return to the bottom where we will ascend Easter Craiglockart Hill, lots of seats to view Edinburgh and have a snack and a drink. We will then return to the pond and back along canal path to the canal basin. Optional lunch in a pub nearby suggestions welcome.
Meeting point at Livingston North Train Station at 9am on the Platform for Edinburgh. We will get the 9:06am train to Haymarket. Option to meet at start of walk at Haymarket Station at 9:30am next to barriers.
