Walkers should satisfy themselves that they are suitably shod, equipped and are steady on their feet. (See notes on route and terrain)
Anticipated duration 6 hours
Starting from Craig y Nos Country Park, we ascend very steeply to Cribarth.
From here we descend into the Tawe Valley before ascending along steep, wet and narrow paths up the Nant Llech Gorge (In places there are sharp drops to the river).
Steep steps lead to Henrhyd Falls from where we follow paths, bridleways and minor roads back to the start.
Toilets: In the visitor centre
Terrain: The walk includes open moorland. In the gorge, there are slippery, muddy and narrow paths which although not difficult, require a good sense of balance. This will be a walk that is unsuitable even for Assistance Dogs.
Social after walk:
Afterwards, we will go for refreshments to The Ancient Briton (near Abercrave)
