Welcome to Capital Walkers, the friendly London Ramblers group for people aged 40+. We walk every weekend and usually at least once during the week.

The walk starts at Cockfosters at the north end of the Piccadilly Line.
Very soon after leaving the station we will walk through woodland, along rivers and through parks, with the highest point being Alexandra Palace (with time to take in the view over London).
Lunch will be in Alexandra Palace, please bring a picnic as we will not have time to stop for long at cafes etc along the way.
The walk then continues through Highgate woods arriving at Hampstead Heath passing Kenwood House and then down Parliament Hill to Kentish Town station where this section will end.
Travel: The walk starts at Cockfosters on the Piccadilly Line [Zone 5].
Return from Kentish Town on the Northern Line and Mildmay Overground Line [Zone 2]. Both stations are within the oystercard zone.
This is an urban walk along pavements and tarred paths, but because of the green spaces and woods it passes through, there was mud in these areas at the time of the recce.
There are Ladies toilets only at Cockfosters station and there will be a couple of toilet stops at public toilets along the way.
Multiple drop out points.

The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
