Overview

Our walk starts from Lea Gardens and takes us to Dethick. This is a tiny settlement comprising a church, 2 farms and just a cluster of buildings including Dethick Manor, yet has a fascinating history, including that of the famous  or (depending on your point of view) infamous Anthony Babbington.

We return via Upper Holloway. The terrain is varied and in good weather excellent  views of the landscape of the Derwent Valley are to be expected.
