Overview

10am start from SJ 972 846. Approx 8 miles and 1225 feet ascent. Meet Disley Station CP. There is a little bit of free parking here but make sure you are in the right spot. Alternatively approaching from Stockport direction, sharp left at the lights in the centre of Disley and go up the hill and park off to the right. Lots of up and down and moorland walking. It is likely to be boggy and muddy. Some fabulous views depending on the weather. Coffee break snack and packed lunch needed. Route Disley station Parkgate North Cheshire Way to Green Farm, West Parkgate and Keepers Cottage. Then left at Keepers Cottage to Dale Top Skirt Sponds Hill Bow Stones Dissop Head Then follow the Gritstone Trail back to the station
