This is a figure of 8 walk. The morning walk starts in Droxford at the Baker’s Arms at 10.15am. The route follows the Meon valley to Meonstoke and Exton, and returns via Corhampton (dependent on weather conditions - the route will be finalised on the day). The afternoon (optional) 2.6 mile walk goes south towards Soberton. There are some nice views on route, and we walk through river valley, old railway tracks and woodland. The tracks are mainly easy walking, and are mud free (providing there's no major rain before the walk). There are some gentle steady inclines so bring poles if you use them. A few short sections involve walking along quiet roads.
The Baker’s Arms will take food orders at 10.00, so please allow time for that so we can be on our way by 10.15. Toilets will be available there. For those not eating at the pub, there is an area to sit about 200m away in Droxford village.
Please let the leader know if you wish to join and whether you will be eating at the pub.
This walk is not suitable for dogs.
