On this walk we explore the eastern side of the Derwent Valley and the countryside between the river and the A38. We start from Duffield Church (Saint Alkmund's). The church is believed to have been built next to Duffield Bridge (and not in the centre of the village) for the benefit of pilgrims and travellers. From Duffield the route takes us to Little Eaton and then Holbrook.
Please bring completed ICE cards and plenty of provisions. This area can get muddy at times, so poles and gaiters may well be of benefit.
Assistance dogs are welcome.
