Overview

Two walks in 2 weeks from Milldale! How could you resist? This is a great opportunity to explore the other, eastern, side of the Dove Valley. We start from Milldale and follow the course of the Dove as far as Coldeaton Bridge. We then turn up the dale which takes us to the Tissington Trail, now a cycle/walking track, which  was one of the last Victorian  railway routes, built to supply milk to London, and joining  Ashbourne to Parsley Hay. We return via the site of Alsop station. The scenery on this walk is spectacular.
