Overview

This is a circular walk starting from Elsted and meanders around the valley floor  with Harting Down looking down upon us. A flattish walk that takes in a number of interesting villages and some scenic Commons.
The walk starts by heading north to the village of Nyewood where we pick up the Serpent Trail and follow it to Dumford and then on to Michell's Common for our picnic. We return via Henfield Wood and Elsted Marsh.

Bring refreshments for one coffee stop and picnic lunch at convenient location.
