An interesting summer evening walk taking in some of Chelsea's famous addresses and following in the footsteps of artists such as Rossetti, Whistler, Turner and Singer Sargent.
After Cheyne Walk we cross the river at Battersea Bridge, join the Thames Path and enter Battersea Park, where there are public toilets, and end the walk at Battersea Power Station, where we will find an indoor or outdoor space for refreshments.
This is not a narrated walk but we will stop and make some reference to pointers in Stephen Millar's excellent 'London Hidden Walks 2'.
Start at Sloane Square Underground Station [Circle and District Line]
Finishes at Battersea Power Underground Station [Northern Line]
No booking required.
An easy walk and no special footwear or clothing needed (other than an umbrella).
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
