We are the Brighton and Hove Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
A circular 10 mile walk starting from Firle Village car park. We will walk through the grounds of Firle Place and along the base of the Downs, arriving at Alfriston for a picnic lunch stop. One steep climb up to the South Downs Way after lunch. We return to Firle along the SDW.
The descent back to Firle may be slippery, so please bring poles if you need them.
Please use free parking in Firle Village Car Park, rather than park in Firle village.
If you can, please RSVP to this walk via our Meetup site. This will give the walk leader a rough idea of how many people may be attending. If you are a paid up member of the Ramblers organisation, you can ignore any waitlist you may find yourself on.
We don't ask you to pay to join us on your first three walks. Afterwards, in order to continue walking with our group, you must become a paid-up member of the Ramblers.
