This linear trail follows the extended English Coastal Path from historical Gravesend with a mix of the quaint and modern; with the River Thames to our right and on the north bank of the Thames, Tilbury Docks. Soon thereafter, we pass cliffs (Gravesend and Northfleet) to our left.
The trail features industries old and new which we leave behind for Botany Marshes, Swanscombe Marshes and after lunch the spectacular Queen Elizabeth II Bridge at Dartford for Dartford Marshes and the River Darent to Dartford Station.
This is a full days walk and we will be walking at a brisk pace of approximately three miles per hour. We stop for lunch at Greenhithe which is seven miles into the walk and also an exit point for Greenhithe Railway Station.
Please bring a packed lunch.
