A circular autumn walk through 'undulating' Hampshire countryside; walking on footpaths, bridleways and some quiet lanes. We will be passing through woodland and across fields, hopefully enjoying the autumn colours and some mud if it has rained between the walk and the recce.
The pace will be brisk.
We will stop for lunch in a field, as there are no other suitable lunch spots, so bring snacks, packed lunch and fluids.
There are no toilets along the route.
No dogs as there were many pheasants when the recce was done.
Trave: Take the 09.07 from Waterloo, 09.15 from Clapham Junction, the destination may be on the board as Basingstoke and/or Alton on the departure board as the train DIVIDES at Woking. Please use the REAR 4 carriages of the train as the front section goes to Basingstoke.
Return trains at 14 and 44 past the hour.
Zone 6 ends at Surbiton for Oyster card and Freedom Pass holders.
Please use the toilets on the train and at Alton Station.
No booking required.
The finishing time is an estimate only and will be dependent on a number of factors such as, weather, the speed at which the group walks and the number of breaks taken.
