A moderate to brisk paced linear walk to Winchelsea led by David C (Mobile No: 07747 187036). A coastal walk starting at Hastings over undulating terrain along the cliffs to Fairlight and to Pett Level. Thereafter fairly flat terrain to Winchelsea. At this time of year there is a slight possibility that a section of the end of the walk will be after civil twilight (sunset 17:01, civil twilight 17:36). Please bring a torch. Option to extend the walk to Rye, plus 2 miles. Lunch stop at Fairlight at ‘The Cove’ pub, Waites Lane, TN35 4AX – this pub is fairly popular, so they may be unable to provide food – advise bringing a snack. Drop out points: Taxi from pub after 5 miles, infrequent 101 bus from Pett Level after 7 miles. Map: E124/125, L189/199.
