An urban linear walk mainly on paths and level grouled by Matthew D that includes two of the great Victorian cemeteries, a meander through Kensington and Chelsea and a walk along the Grand Union Canal. We meet at West Brompton Station before heading south through Brompton Cemetery, from there we wind our way to Holland Park where there are toilets and coffee if needed. We then head east to Kensington Gardens via the Albert Memorial. Lunch will be near the fountains. Toilets and coffee here also but a packed lunch is recommended. After lunch we join the Grand Union Canal at Paddington Basin and follow it all the way to Scrubs Lane on which is the back gate to St Mary's Cemetery. Walking through St Mary's leads us to Kensal Green Cemetery.The last part of the walk goes through Queens Park - more toilets and coffee - before ending at Brondesbury Park Station. The walk will be at a brisk pace of approx 3 mph and is mainly on paths and level ground although there is a small but steep humped backed bridge onthe canal path just after Ladbroke Grove.
