From Rodborough Fort we descend the valley to Bowbridge, then up the other side via Claypits Lane. We cross 'The Heavens' valley which is now community owned, passing below the cemetery. Lanes and tracks to Middle Lypiatt, then through fields and woodland back to Thrupp. Crossing the main road we climb again to Rodborough Common passing by Winstones ice cream factory where we may stop.
There are several steep ascents and descents which will be taken at a slow pace, local walk terrain 3, quite hilly.
There will be a coffee and lunch stop.
Car park is just below the fort on Rodborough Common, please meet at 9:50.
