Overview

The walk starts from the car park at High Peak Junction and climbs by Hearthstone Lane to Riber with its atmospheric castle. Our trail then goes via Tansley to the ancient Manor of Dethick before crossing the fields to Wakebridge and back to High Peak Junction.

The High Peak Junction car park is off Lea Road near Lea Bridge; this is payable only with cash. There is a foot bridge from the car park over the River Derwent and Cromford Canal to the High Peak Visitor Centre which has toilets.
