Oswestry Ramblers welcome people who enjoy walking and the countryside. We walk twice a week mainly in Shropshire and Wales and help improve local footpaths.

The 8.4 mile walk is based upon the suggested Llanforda circular walk on the Shropshire Outdoors website (shropshiresgreatoutdoors.co.uk) but is starting from Gatacre car park , rather than the suggested start point. It is a spectacular walk , offering great views of the surrounding hills in both England and Wales.
The walk takes you out of Oswestry into open countryside , across fields, over stiles , along Offa's Dyke , through Candy Woods and up to the Old Oswestry Racecourse, before returning to Oswestry through Brogyntyn Park.
