A leisurely and picturesque circular walk starting at Acton Burnell Castle car park, enjoying panoramic views of the Shropshire and Welsh Hills.
Near the castle was the site of the first parliament in 1283 attended by Edward I. We will visit the 16th century Puritan Langley chapel on our return, and take a look at the interior. The route follows field paths, stony tracks and quiet lanes.
Please car share if possible. There is limited parking in the car park so some cars may have to park on the approach road towards Concord College.
The leader will be at Gatacre playing fields to offer lifts.
