A circular 6.5 mile walk from Llangollen which features part of Offa's Dyke Path and the Panorama Walk.
There is a fairly steep climb to start the walk on a tarmac surface, which then gives way to woodland paths and the start of the panoramic tourist trail, with outstanding views of the River Dee valley, where we walk on a fairly level path. The descent leaving the Panorama Walk is fairly steep in places as we leave the Panorama Walk itself, but then it levels out for the approach back into Llangollen.
There is also an option to do a shorter version of the walk by leaving the Panorama Walk earlier than the main group. This straightforward route goes down a tarmac surfaced road directly back to Llangollen and reduces the length of the walk by around 2 miles.
There are also options for self-guided walks from Llangollen along the canal - westwards to the Horseshoe Falls, where there is a picnic area by the river (2 miles each way), or eastwards to the Pontcysyllte Aqueduct near Trevor (4 miles each way), or a trip on the steam train, or a horse-drawn canal boat trip.
The coach will leave Wyndley Swimming Pool car park at 08:30.
