Overview

The walk starts from Llanhilleth Rail Station initially heading up on the road through Cwm Cyffin then following a zig zag narrow path, fields and a track to Blaen y Cwm Road onto Mynydd Llanhilleth. This road leads to the top of the moorland, with good views to the west and then on to St Illtyd’s Church. The route then heads down, via a steepish, woodland path through Coetgae Coch to Cwm Llwydrew and into Six Bells Pit Park to visit Guardian of the Valley. The walk then continues fairly much on the level down through Aberbeeg, over a Packhorse Bridge, following the course of the Ebbw River back to Llanhilleth.
