A moderate walk of about 8km, starting at Blackhall Mill. The route ascends through Milkwellburn Wood to an old railway course, then continues on Lead Lane for about 600m before turning into Hepper Hill Park Wood. Near Ebchester the route turns left to follow the north bank of the Derwent back to Blackhall Mill. The route is likely to be muddy.
