Lyme Park Christmas mince pie walk - Thurs 7 Dec

An easy-paced moderate walk from the Nelson Pit car park, initially along the Macclesfield Canal and then across towards the West Park Gate and to the Timber Yard in Lyme Park for mince pies and mulled wine. Then via the Cage, Lantern Wood, Paddock Cottage and The Knoll before heading back to Nelson Pit. Risk assessment. Car free route except within Lyme Park. Mostly good paths and tracks but also some ascents of possibly muddy paths and through paths in the woods. A few ladder styles.  Deer and possibly cattle in Lyme Park.
