Overview

This is a short 6 mile walk around Macclesfield forest. Apart from an initial steep climb to the top of the forest the rest of the walk is flat or downhill with some lovely views. We will stop for a coffee break at the pretty little Forest Chapel. Most of the walk is through the forest but with some good views of Tegg’s Nose, the iconic Cat and Fiddle pub and the Cheshire mattahorn, Shuttlingsloe.
