We are the York Ramblers. We open the way for everyone in our local community to enjoy the pleasures of walking.
This is a circular walk From Malton through woods and the villages of Amotherby, Swinton and Broughton. Apart from Hildernley Wood where we drop down and climb up again it is fairly level. It is likely to be muddy so gaiters and poles are recommended. We pass through a field where there are horses and there are pigs in the woods so no dogs please.

Catch the Coastliner bus 843 from outside York railway station at 08.53, Stonebow at 09.05 to arrive in Malton at 09.41 where we start the walk.
Buses back to York from Malton are half hourly and there are cafes and bars in Malton for refreshments.
